Ep 20. Summer Catalog

Leslie Knope gets to work on Pawnee's annual summer catalog, which she is determined to produce in record time to impress the city manager and avoid budget cuts. To achieve her goal, she enlists the help of her co-workers, who are less than thrilled to be working on such a tedious project during the summer.

Meanwhile, Andy is on a mission to find a new job after being laid off from the parks department. He enlists the help of Ann to update his resume and teach him how to use a computer, a skill he is sorely lacking.

As Leslie and the gang work on the catalog, they start to realize that their idea of what a fun summer is might not necessarily be the same as the rest of Pawnee's residents. They struggle to come up with ideas for the catalog that will appeal to everyone, from families to teenagers to seniors.

One of their first ideas is to create a section featuring local sports leagues, but they quickly realize that not all residents are interested in sports. They then move on to highlighting Pawnee's community events and festivals, but once again, they find that not everyone enjoys these types of activities.

As the deadline for the catalog looms closer, Leslie becomes increasingly frantic, and her coworkers begin to feel the pressure. They finally come up with an idea to feature Pawnee's local swimming holes, which they hope will appeal to everyone. Leslie, however, is still not satisfied, and decides to take matters into her own hands.

In a last-ditch effort to save the catalog (and her job), Leslie decides to host a giant summer bash in the park, featuring all of Pawnee's best summer activities. With the help of her co-workers, she pulls off the event in record time, and the catalog turns out to be a huge success.

But the victory is short-lived, as Leslie soon finds out that the city manager has already made up his mind about the budget cuts. Despite her best efforts, the parks department is still in jeopardy of losing funding, leaving Leslie and her co-workers to wonder what the future holds for their beloved department.

As the episode ends, Andy receives a call back from a potential employer, giving him hope for the future, while Leslie tries to come to terms with the fact that her dream job may be in jeopardy. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers eager to see how it all plays out in the next episode.
