Ep 14. The Rat

Michael and the rest of the escapees continue their journey in Prison Break season 1 episode 14, "The Rat." This time, they come across a man named Charles Westmoreland, who is also known as "D.B. Cooper," a criminal who hijacked an airplane in the 1970s and vanished with a large sum of money. Westmoreland claims to have a deal with the government that will allow him to leave prison soon in exchange for giving back the money he stole, but he needs Michael's help to retrieve the money from a safety deposit box in Tooele, Utah.

Michael, who is wary of getting involved in another heist after their successful but dangerous escape from Fox River, reluctantly agrees to help Westmoreland when he learns that the safety deposit box belongs to a wealthy man named Terrance Steadman, who happens to be the brother of Vice President Caroline Reynolds. Michael believes that finding the money and exposing Steadman's connection to Reynolds could be their ticket to clearing Lincoln's name and proving his innocence.

Meanwhile, FBI agent Alexander Mahone continues his pursuit of the escapees, using any means necessary to track them down. He enlists the help of Sarah, who is still conflicted about her feelings for Michael and her loyalty to her job. Mahone also discovers the identity of one of the escapees, leading to a shocking confrontation that threatens to expose the whole group.

As the escapees make their way to Tooele, they encounter more obstacles and challenges, including a run-in with a local gang and a dangerous encounter with an FBI agent. Meanwhile, tensions rise within the group as everyone begins to question who they can trust and what their true motivations are.
