In season 4 episode 8 of Relative Race, the four teams travel to the heart of Texas, where they will face their most challenging leg yet. The teams have been given a new set of DNA results showing new relatives to meet, and they are eager to dive into their family histories to discover who they are and where they come from.
The teams set out on the road, guided by their smartphones, and head to their first destination: an old ghost town. There they must solve a puzzle that will reveal the name of their next relative. The teams must use their wits and their knowledge of each other to solve the clues.
Next, the teams head to a cattle ranch where they meet their newfound family member. They learn about their history and experience some western hospitality, including a rodeo demonstration and a campfire cookout.
From there, the teams are sent to a historic hotel where they are given a map and a set of clues. They must work together to find each of the locations and complete a puzzle at each one. The clues take them all over the city, from the historic downtown to the outskirts of town, where they visit a country fair and a historic train museum.
At each stop, the teams must get a clue that will lead them to their next location. They also must complete a task or solve a puzzle to receive their next set of instructions. The challenges range from playing carnival games to solving riddles to riding a mechanical bull.
But the teams soon discover that there is a twist to this leg of the race. At the end of the day, they will meet up with each other, and whoever is in last place will be eliminated from the competition.
As the sun sets over the Texas countryside, the teams race to complete their tasks and put the pieces of the puzzle together. The pressure is on, and the stakes are high.
In the end, only three teams will move on to the next leg of the race. Who will be eliminated, and who will move one step closer to the grand prize? Find out on season 4 episode 8 of Relative Race.
