Ep 8. The Petition

In the eighth episode of the first season of Rise, titled "The Petition," tensions come to a head as rumors spread about a petition to have the controversial musical "Spring Awakening" cancelled. Lou and Tracey rush to put together a counter-petition, while Simon tries to figure out who is behind the effort to shut down the show.

Meanwhile, tensions continue to mount between Robbie and Lilette, as they struggle to balance their growing relationship with their conflicting desires and priorities. As their personal drama reaches a boiling point, it threatens to spill over into their roles in the musical.

At the same time, Gwen and Gordy struggle to find common ground and work together as co-choreographers. As their disagreements escalate, they both begin to question whether they can continue to collaborate on the show.

Elsewhere, Maashous continues to struggle with his home life and his role in the musical. When he is faced with a difficult decision, he turns to Lou for guidance and support.

As the episode reaches its climax, the fate of "Spring Awakening" hangs in the balance, and the students of Stanton High School are forced to confront the consequences of their actions and their beliefs - both on stage and off.
