In the fourth episode of Roadkill Garage season 1, entitled "Dirt-Cheap 1970 Challenger Rescue!", the main focus is on a 1970 Dodge Challenger that has been left outside exposed to the elements for years. David Freiburger and Steve Dulcich take on the challenge of fixing up this 'un-loved' car in just one day, with the aim to make it drivable and safe to take out on the road.

The episode starts off with the team inspecting the Challenger thoroughly to identify the areas that need attention. As expected, the car has rusted in a few places, including parts of the engine block and underneath the car. But, the team seems undeterred and quickly gets to work.

They begin by removing the fenders, hood, and trunk lid to expose the engine bay. They drain the old fluids and remove the spark plugs, trying hard not to break any of them in the process. Once the engine is dismantled, they start cleaning and prepping the engine for reassembly. They use a pressure washer to clean the engine block, which is so covered in dirt and grime that it is almost unrecognizable.

The team then sets their sights on fixing the other issues with the car, which include replacing the fuel tank, the faulty brake master cylinder, and the leaking rear differential. They also replace some of the suspension bushings and shocks, and install new wheels and tires.

As the clock ticks away, it is evident that they have a lot of work to do to meet their deadline. They work tirelessly, trying to finish all that needs to be done in time.

With just a few minutes remaining, the crew finally gets the engine running. But the car is still not roadworthy as the brakes need bleeding. Finally, after a few adjustments and some last-minute fixes, the Challenger is ready.

With a massive sense of satisfaction, the crew takes the car out on a test drive. They're all amazed at how well the car drives and how smooth the engine sounds. They're thrilled that they could get the car up and running in just one day, which seemed almost impossible in the beginning.

Overall, the episode is an exciting watch, with the team's 'never give up' attitude shining through. It provides an excellent message to viewers that, with hard work and perseverance, anything is achievable. The episode also highlights the importance of taking care of classic cars, proving that even unloved gems can be restored to their former glory with a little hard work and patience.
