It Was a Dark and Stormy Day is the seventeenth episode of Rocket Power's first season. The episode follows the adventures of Otto, Reggie, Twister, and Sam as they try to conquer Lars Mountain, a local peak that has defeated many young adventurers. A dark and stormy day seems like the worst possible time to embark on such a dangerous mission, but the Rocket Power gang is undaunted.

As the episode begins, Otto and Reggie are watching a Top Gear-style car race on TV, and they start to get restless. They're itching for an adventure, and when Twister and Sam show up, they suggest climbing Lars Mountain. The other two are skeptical, but Otto insists that they can do it. The mountain has never been climbed by kids, but Otto is determined to be the first.

The group sets off on their adventure, and immediately the weather turns against them. It starts to rain heavily, and the path up the mountain becomes slick and treacherous. They're soon soaked to the bone and struggling to maintain their footing. To make things worse, Twister twists his ankle on the rocky terrain. Despite his injury, Twister insists on continuing the climb, and the others agree to stick together.

The group faces a series of challenges as they make their way up the mountain. They have to navigate a narrow ledge over a deep canyon, and Otto uses his skateboard to bridge a gap between two cliffs. They also have to climb a sheer rock face, using only their fingers and toes to scramble upwards. Along the way, the group has to work together and rely on each other's strengths to overcome the obstacles.

As they climb higher, the weather gets even worse. Lightning crackles around them, and a fierce wind threatens to knock them off the mountain. They find a small cave to take shelter in, but it's cramped and uncomfortable. They huddle together for warmth and try to keep their spirits up, but it's clear that they're all feeling scared and frustrated.

Finally, the group reaches the summit of Lars Mountain. It's a triumphant moment, and they all cheer and high-five each other. But their victory is short-lived, as they realize that it's getting dark and they're not sure how to get back down the mountain safely. They have to take extreme care as they make their way back down, using a makeshift bridge that Otto constructs to cross a dangerous ravine.

The group finally makes it back to safety, and they all collapse in exhaustion. They may have conquered Lars Mountain, but they've learned an important lesson about the dangers of taking unnecessary risks. As they walk back to Otto's house, they're all a little wiser and a little more cautious.
