In Rupaul's All Stars Drag Race season 1 episode 4, the queens were challenged to showcase their abilities as performers by forming three girl groups and then creating their own original songs. The episode was titled "All Star Girl Groups" and featured a guest judge, Aubrey O'Day, a singer and former member of the girl group Danity Kane.
The episode began with Rupaul assigning the queens to their girl groups. Each group was named after a famous girl group – one was named Spice Girls, another was Destiny's Child, and the third was the Supremes. The queens had to create their own original songs and choreograph their performances with the help of choreographer Candis Cayne.
Throughout the episode, we saw each group working hard to perfect their performances. There were some tensions between the queens, especially in the Spice Girls group where some members felt like others weren't contributing enough. However, in true drag queen fashion, they were able to work through their differences and come together for an amazing performance.
The guest judge, Aubrey O'Day, offered feedback to each group after their performances. She praised the Supremes group for their harmonies and cohesion, but felt that their song could have been stronger. She was impressed by the Destiny's Child group's choreography and energy, but thought their song lacked depth. Finally, she loved the Spice Girls group's song and thought their performance was captivating, but felt that some members were weaker than others.
After the performances, the judges deliberated and the bottom two queens were revealed: Tammie Brown from the Spice Girls group and Nina Flowers from the Supremes group. They lip synced for their lives to "Nasty Girl" by Vanity 6, and ultimately Tammie was eliminated from the competition.
Overall, "All Star Girl Groups" was an exciting and entertaining episode of Rupaul's All Stars Drag Race. The challenge pushed the queens to showcase their abilities as performers and led to some amazing performances. The guest judge, Aubrey O'Day, added a fresh perspective and provided valuable feedback to the queens.
