RuPaul's Drag Race Season 2 Episode 7 Once Upon a Queen

  • March 21, 2010

Once Upon a Queen is the seventh episode of the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race. In this episode, the remaining seven contestants are challenged to create fairy tale-inspired outfits and perform a lip-sync to a classic fairy tale song.

The episode kicks off with RuPaul introducing the challenge and revealing that the queens must each select a specific fairy tale to use as inspiration for their runway look. Some of the fairy tales chosen include Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and Sleeping Beauty.

As the queens begin working on their outfits, tensions start to rise between some of the contestants. Jujubee and Raven have a heated argument about their respective performances in previous challenges, while Morgan struggles to find the right materials for her outfit.

During the runway presentation, the queens showcase their fairy tale-inspired looks and are judged on their creativity, execution, and overall performance. Guest judges include actress and singer Ana Gasteyer and designer Santino Rice.

Following the runway presentation, the queens are asked to lip-sync to the classic fairy tale song "Sitting on a Rainbow" by Aladdin. The lip-sync performance is filled with energy and sass, with each queen doing their best to stand out and earn a spot in the next round.

In the end, the judges deliberate and ultimately decide to send one queen home. The eliminated queen packs her bags and says goodbye to her fellow contestants, leaving six remaining queens in the competition.

Overall, Once Upon a Queen is a fun and whimsical episode that showcases the creativity and talent of the remaining contestants. With only a few episodes left in the season, the pressure is on and the competition is fiercer than ever.
