Ep 1. Act 1 USAGI - SAILOR MOON

Usagi Tsukino is a lively and carefree 14-year-old who attends Juuban Middle School. She has a reputation for being a crybaby and often oversleeps, making her late for school. But one day, she has a chance encounter with a black cat named Luna, who gives her a mission to find her fellow Sailors and protect the universe from evil. Usagi is skeptical at first but is soon convinced when she is attacked by a dark entity while walking home from school. Luna gives Usagi a brooch that transforms her into Sailor Moon, a powerful heroine with the ability to fight monsters and protect the world. As Sailor Moon, Usagi teams up with other Sailor Soldiers in the fight against evil. She meets Ami Mizuno, a genius student at her school who is secretly Sailor Mercury and can use water-based attacks. They are soon joined by Rei Hino, a shrine priestess who is also Sailor Mars and can control fire, and Makoto Kino, a transfer student who is also Sailor Jupiter and has superhuman strength. Together, the Sailor Soldiers must defeat the Dark Kingdom, which is led by Queen Beryl, and her minions. The Dark Kingdom aims to gather energy from humans to revive their ruler, Queen Metalia, who was destroyed in a battle with the Moon Kingdom years before. In this episode, titled "Act 1 - Usagi: Sailor Moon," we are introduced to Usagi and Luna as they cross paths for the first time. Initially disinterested in Luna's mission, Usagi changes her mind when she is attacked by a monster called a "Youma." Luna gives Usagi her new transformation brooch, which she uses to become Sailor Moon. He aids Sailor Moon in her quest, but his true allegiance remains a mystery. The episode sets up the main conflict for the season - the fight against the Dark Kingdom and the race to prevent them from gathering enough energy to revive their evil queen.
