Sasameki Koto Season 1 Episode 11 It's Nothing

In the eleventh episode of the first season of Sasameki Koto, titled "It's Nothing," Sumika feels that she is not trustworthy as a friend, which creates confusion and turmoil within her. Trying to alleviate some of her inner turmoil, she goes on a run with Ushio, which results in a sweet moment where the two hold hands. Later, the two girls go to a spot in the woods where they used to play during their childhood. There, Ushio seems to be deliberately avoiding Sumika and not noticing the tense atmosphere. Sumika decides to confess her feelings to Ushio. At first, Ushio seems surprised, but then she smiles, seemingly happy about the confession.

As they walk, they see a group of kids playing in the woods, and Ushio suggests playing with them. Sumika, at first, is hesitant, feeling responsible to clear things with Ushio. However, she later joins in, seeing Ushio happy and content in that moment. Later, as they're packing up to go home, Sumika notes that she has always wanted to be Ushio's "knight in shining armor," which pleases Ushio.

The two girls head back, talking about their future plans. They hear some rustling in the underbrush, and they're attacked by an unknown person. Ushio falls into Sumika's arms, unconscious and battered. In fear and panic, Sumika realizes that her love for Ushio is now outweighing everything else. Ushio wakes up enough to tell Sumika that she's okay and for them to say goodbye to one another.

The final scene is of Sumika walking back home, thoughts racing in her mind.
