Ep 5. Just Like This

Say "I love you" is a romantic anime series that revolves around the story of Mei Tachibana, a girl who has never made any friends in her life. On their way to the nurse's office, they come across a school garden that is slightly overgrown and in need of a trim. Yamato suggests that they tidy it up as an apology for not including Mei earlier. Mei agrees, and the two start to clean up the garden. As they work together, they start to enjoy each other's company.

After finishing their work in the garden, Yamato takes Mei to his house. As they enter, they realize that Yamato's younger sister, Chiharu, is also there. Chiharu is excited to see Mei and starts to show her around the house. Yamato disappears and leaves the two girls to talk.

While talking to Chiharu, Mei learns something that makes her worry about her relationship with Yamato. She discovers that Yamato is known for being a player and has a reputation for going out with many girls. Mei starts to wonder if Yamato sees her as just another girl.

The episode ends with Yamato returning home and Mei confronting him about his past. Yamato assures Mei that he only has eyes for her and that he wants to be with her. Mei accepts his words, and the two hug each other.
