Ep 2. Chainsaw

In the highly anticipated second episode of Scream Queens (2015), entitled "Chainsaw," viewers are treated to another thrilling installment of the hit horror-comedy series. As the episode kicks off, we find ourselves back at Wallace University, where the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority is still reeling from the mysterious murder that took place in the premiere. The girls are all on edge, but remain determined to carry on with their social lives as usual - until a new threat emerges.

That threat comes in the form of a deranged killer who is wielding a chainsaw, and who seems to have a particular vendetta against the sorority. He (or she?) begins to terrorize the campus, targeting not just the Kappas, but also their rival sorority, the Chanel's minions, and pretty much anyone else who crosses his (or her?) path. As the body count begins to rise, it becomes clear that no one is safe - not even the hapless campus security guard, who seems determined to catch the killer, despite his utter ineptitude.

Meanwhile, the Kappas are dealing with their own internal strife, as they try to figure out how to move forward in the wake of the murder. Chanel is still at odds with her fellow sisters, particularly the new pledge, Grace, who appears to be hiding something. Zayday, on the other hand, is doing her best to take charge and keep the girls united, while Hester and the other Kappa Skanks are up to their usual shenanigans, which involve a lot of giggling, slut-shaming, and general tomfoolery.

As the killer continues to wreak havoc on the campus, the Kappas and their allies must band together to try to uncover his (or her?) identity and put an end to the bloodshed once and for all. But with so many suspects to choose from - including the creepy Dean, the shady frat bros, and pretty much everyone else on campus - it won't be an easy task. And as we saw in the premiere, anyone could be the next victim.

Overall, "Chainsaw" is another strong episode of Scream Queens, balancing its over-the-top horror-comedy with enough genuine scares and tension to keep viewers on edge. The cast is firing on all cylinders, with Emma Roberts once again stealing the show as the deliciously bitchy Chanel, and Jamie Lee Curtis bringing a welcome gravitas to her role as the troubled Dean. And with the mystery of the Red Devil still looming large, it's clear that this season is just getting started. Get ready for more blood, more laughs, and more chainsaw mayhem.
