In Sea Rescue season 4 episode 21, titled "A Lifeline to Survival," viewers follow along with the SeaWorld rescue team as they save animals in distress across the oceans. The episode begins with a call about a stranded manatee in the Indian River Lagoon in Florida. The team springs into action, carefully but quickly rescuing the manatee and transferring it to a nearby SeaWorld rehabilitation center for medical attention.

The viewer is then taken to the Gulf of Mexico, where another manatee has become entangled in fishing gear. The rescue team faces a difficult challenge as they need to navigate the thick, dangerous waters around the manatee while also trying to free it from the fishing line and hooks in a safe manner. Cutting away the fishing line and carefully removing the hooks, they successfully free the manatee and begin its rehabilitation process.

Moving across the country to California, the SeaWorld team is called to the rescue of a young elephant seal. The seal had been found on a beach, malnourished and dehydrated. The team takes the seal back to their rehabilitation center and begins to nurse it back to health, providing food and medication to help it regain its strength.

Later in the episode, the SeaWorld team is called to another manatee rescue, this time in Jacksonville, Florida. The team discovers a distressed manatee trapped in a small creek with not enough water to sustain it. They work quickly, pulling the manatee out of the creek and bringing it to a nearby river where it can swim freely and find food and shelter.

The team's efforts then take them to Hawaii, where they encounter a dolphin caught in a discarded fishing net. The team works to safely remove the net and free the dolphin, then brings it to a nearby rehabilitation center for observation and care.

Lastly, the episode features the rescue of a young sea lion in California. The team found the sea lion emaciated and wandering in circles on the beach, unable to find food or water. The team quickly transports the sea lion back to their rehabilitation center where they begin to feed and care for it. With patience and dedication, the sea lion slowly starts to regain its strength and eventually makes a full recovery.

Throughout the episode, viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at the extraordinary efforts of the SeaWorld rescue team and their commitment to protecting marine life from human-related threats. From freeing entangled manatees to nursing elephant seals back to health, the SeaWorld team demonstrates their willingness to go above and beyond to save the animals in their care.
