See You in Time is a 2017 Taiwanese drama which follows a 29-year-old single woman named Chen You Qing (played by Mini Tsai) who works at a publishing company as a copy editor. She seems to have her life together in most aspects, but her love life is lacking as she has been single for a while. One day, she receives a message from her ex-boyfriend, Li Da Ren (played by Hans Chung) who she hasn't talked to in years. As she begins to reminisce about their past relationship, she is transported back in time to when they were both 22 years old.

Now living in the past, You Qing is given the opportunity to change the course of her relationship with Li Da Ren. This causes a lot of complications and challenges as there are romantic feelings between the two, but You Qing has knowledge of the future and how their relationship will end. As she attempts to navigate her way through this period, she is also able to learn more about herself and her friends who were a part of her past.

Throughout the show, the audience is taken on a journey between the present and the past as You Qing tries to make sense of the situation she has found herself in. One of the main themes of the show is the idea of hindsight and how it can allow a person to reflect on their choices and relationships. This is highlighted by the inclusion of a book titled "See You in Time" which explains that everything happens for a reason and that the characters are on a journey to discover that reason.

The chemistry between the two main leads, Mini Tsai and Hans Chung, is one of the driving forces of the show. They have a natural and charming rapport that makes their scenes together enjoyable to watch. Aaron Lai also stars in the show as a love interest for You Qing in the present timeline, adding an extra layer of tension to the overall storyline.

The cinematography of See You in Time is another standout feature. The use of color and lighting creates a dream-like atmosphere that complements the theme of time travel and the idea of a second chance. The historical setting of 2012 is also captured well, with attention paid to the technology and fashion of the time. The show also incorporates humor into the storyline, lightening the mood and making it more enjoyable to watch.

One of the strengths of See You in Time is its exploration of the theme of regret. Through You Qing's experience of time travel, the show is able to explore the idea of whether or not changing the past is worth it, and whether or not it ultimately leads to a better future. It encourages viewers to reflect on their own experiences with regret and how it can impact their choices moving forward.

Overall, See You in Time is a heartwarming and engaging Taiwanese drama that explores themes of love, regret, and the power of hindsight. The strong performances from the cast, beautiful cinematography, and relatable storyline make it a show worth watching.
