Tokimune is initially hostile towards Silfy, given that she is an enemy soldier. However, he soon realizes that she is just a young girl who is trying to survive the war in her own way. He decides to help her escape and takes her with him as he tries to make his way back to his unit.

As they journey through the enemy territory, they are pursued by Ingelmian soldiers who are also looking for the abandoned Trail Krieger. Tokimune and Silfy face numerous challenges as they try to outrun their pursuers and find their way back to the Arandas Army's 8th Unit.
