In Six season 1 episode 4 titled "Man Down," the team is on a mission to retrieve hostages held by terrorists in Africa. The episode starts with the SEAL team members preparing for the mission. They are briefed about the location and the details of the mission. The team is flown in on a stealth helicopter and they quickly move towards the target. As they move closer to the target, they encounter enemy fire and are forced to take cover.
During the chaos, one of the team members, Buddha (Juan Pablo Raba), is hit by a bullet and seriously injured. The team leader, Richard "Rip" Taggart (Walton Goggins), has to make the tough decision of leaving Buddha behind in order to complete the mission. This decision causes tension within the team, as they struggle to understand how Rip could leave behind one of their own.
Meanwhile, back at the base, Rip's wife, Lena (Brianne Davis), and the other wives of the team members are dealing with their own emotional struggles as they wait for news about their loved ones. The wives come together to offer emotional support to each other and to try to stay strong for their families.
As the team continues with the mission, they discover that the hostages may have been moved to a different location. This forces the team to change their plans and split up in order to cover more ground. The team members face obstacles and enemy fire as they search for the hostages.
At the same time, Rip is dealing with his own guilt about leaving Buddha behind. He reflects on past missions and remembers other team members who were lost in action. Despite his tough exterior, Rip is clearly struggling with the weight of the decisions he has had to make as a leader.
The episode ends with the team finding the hostages and successfully completing the mission. Buddha is airlifted out and taken to a hospital. The team members come together to celebrate their success, but the tension between them still lingers. As the team members return home, they are left to deal with the emotional aftermath of their experiences in Africa.
