Ep 12. There Is A Tide...

There is A Tide... is the twelfth episode of the third season of the popular science fiction television show, Star Trek: Discovery. The episode is directed by Jonathan Frakes and written by Kenneth Lin.

As the USS Discovery comes closer to the end of the season, the ship and crew are facing one of their toughest challenges yet. Commander Michael Burnham (played by Sonequa Martin-Green) and the rest of the crew are still trying to find a way to prevent the power-hungry Osyraa (played by Janet Kidder) from taking over the ship for her own sinister purposes.

Osyraa is a member of the Emerald Chain, which is a ruthless group of criminals who dominate and exploit large parts of the galaxy. In the previous episode, Osyraa successfully managed to infiltrate the Discovery and held the crew hostage. She has already demonstrated that she is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants, so it's clear that she is not to be underestimated.

In There is A Tide..., the Discovery crew begins to fight back against Osyraa's hold on the ship. Michael, in particular, takes a leadership role in this episode, as she comes up with a bold plan to take back control of the ship. As always, she is willing to take risks and put herself in danger to protect her shipmates and ensure the safety of the Discovery.

Throughout the episode, viewers are treated to a number of tense and action-packed scenes, as the Discovery crew tries to outmaneuver and outwit Osyraa and her minions.
