Star Trek: The Original Series (Remastered), Best of is a DVD series of episodes from the classic science fiction series Star Trek to honor the 50th anniversary of the show. Produced by Paramount, executive producer Gene Roddenberry sold the series in 1966 as a modern "Gulliver's Travels." The series stared a Vulcan, a heroic captain, a black communication officer, a Russian weapons officer, a Japanese navigator and a Scots engineer. The series offered a look at a future where all countries on earth work together and used episode stories to address issues of the day such as the Vietman War and racism. This collection features remastered episodes that present the best work of this television show as it has not been seen before.
