Ep 1. Air: Part 1

Air: Part 1 is the first episode of the science fiction television series Stargate Universe. It originally aired on October 2, 2009, on the Syfy channel and marks the beginning of a brand new chapter in the Stargate franchise.

They discover that the life support systems are failing, and they must find a way to repair them before it's too late. While attempting to fix the systems, the crew also discovers that the ship is equipped with a number of advanced technologies that they have never seen before.

As they work to save the ship, tensions run high amongst the crew. Colonel Young and Dr. Rush butt heads over leadership of the mission, and Eli struggles to find his place amongst the highly educated scientists on board. Chloe tries to console her fellow crew members, offering words of encouragement and hope that they will find a way back to Earth.

Air: Part 1 sets the stage for the entire series, introducing viewers to the characters, the ship, and the conflict that will drive the plot forward.
