"Superior Donuts" season 2 episode 2, titled "Is There A Problem, Officer?", follows the daily shenanigans of the donut shop and its neighborhood, which suddenly takes a dark turn when Franco accidentally breaks Arthur's (the shop owner) prized Tiki statue. To make matters worse, Arthur realizes that he forgot to file for insurance on the statue, leaving him out of a lot of money. Struggling to come up with a way to recoup his losses, Arthur sees an opportunity when he sees a police officer outside the shop who seems to be looking for something.
As Arthur and Franco try to MacGyver a replacement statue, a situation unfolds outside the shop involving the same police officer. Overhearing the conversation, Arthur hatches a plan that involves the cop and risking his business. With Spot helping him, Arthur puts together an elaborate ruse to trap the policeman. Meanwhile, Franco tries to find a way to make things right with Arthur.
Throughout the episode, we see the characters of the shop and their lives beyond it. There's Fawz, who's trying to capitalize on the sudden success of a local food critic's review of his restaurant, and Sofia, who is dealing with a worker's compensation claim against Arthur and the shop after an injury she suffered. We also see Randy and Tush, who are still trying to figure out their romantic relationship.
"Is There A Problem, Officer?" is a fast-paced and funny episode that showcases the camaraderie between the characters of the shop, while also touching on serious topics like financial struggles and workplace injuries. With a surprising twist at the end, the episode will leave viewers satisfied and wanting more.
