Taskmaster is a British television series that premiered in 2015 on Dave. Hosted by Greg Davies and Alex Horne, the show features five comedians competing against each other in hilarious, absurd and often downright odd challenges, all in hopes of winning the coveted prize of the Taskmaster trophy. Season 6 episode 7, titled "Roadkill doused in syrup", is no exception to the show's usual zany antics.

The episode kicks off with each of the contestants attending a recording of a fictional children's television show called "Flumpy". After watching the show, Greg reveals that the first task is to create a Flumpy inspired catchphrase that will become part of the show's lexicon. The catchphrases are then performed in front of a live studio audience, with the aim of getting the biggest laughs. Needless to say, some of the catchphrases are hilarious while others fall flat.

Next up is a classic Taskmaster challenge involving a remote control car in a miniature town. Each of the contestants is tasked with navigating the car through a series of obstacles and back to Taskmaster HQ, all while wearing a blindfold. The catch? They have to follow the directions of their fellow contestants, who are each stationed at various points throughout the town and eagerly giving out the wrong directions. Chaos ensues as the contestants crash into buildings, get stuck in grates and narrowly avoid running over innocent bystanders.

The third task is perhaps the most disgusting of the episode, as the contestants are instructed to create a gourmet meal using only roadkill and syrup. The contestants set to work with varying levels of enthusiasm, with some embracing the challenge and others gagging at the sight of the ingredients. The resulting dishes are, to put it mildly, unappetizing - from hedgehog and syrup pancakes to pheasant and syrup stew. Greg and Alex gamely taste the dishes, but it's clear they're struggling to hide their revulsion.

The fourth task takes place in the Taskmaster filming studio, where a number of objects have been arranged on a table. The contestants are each given a number, and must then retrieve the object with the corresponding number from a separate room. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong. The room is pitch black, and the objects are hidden in a variety of devious locations, from under a pile of rubble to on top of a bookcase. The contestants soon find themselves crawling through tight spaces and contorting their bodies in hilarious ways in order to find their objects.

The final task of the episode is a high-stakes game of hide and seek. One contestant is tasked with hiding in a field, while the others are given ten minutes to find them. The catch? The contestant hiding is wearing a suit made entirely of reflective material, making them impossible to miss. The searchers are provided with a range of equipment, including binoculars, a drone and a trained search and rescue dog, but will it be enough to find the elusive hider before time runs out?

Overall, "Roadkill doused in syrup" is another excellent episode of Taskmaster, full of laugh-out-loud moments and unexpected twists and turns. With only a few episodes left in the season, the competition is heating up and the contestants are more desperate than ever to take home the prize. Tune in to see who comes out on top!
