Ep 20. Wedded Miss

The show Teachers revolves around the lives of six elementary school teachers, who are not only hilarious but also serve as mentors and friends to their students. In season 3 episode 20, titled Wedded Miss, the teachers are gearing up for Ms. Snap's wedding; one of their very own, played by actor Katy Colloton.

The episode opens with Ms. Watson (Kate Lambert), Ms. Cannon (Caitlin Barlow), and Ms. Feldman (Cate Freedman) at a bridal boutique trying on dresses. Ms. Watson has her fingers crossed for an off-the-rack deal, while Ms. Cannon is determined to wear a shimmery, pink mermaid dress which the sales associate deems to be a little too ‘aggressive’. Ms. Feldman on the other hand, is planning to wear her maternity dress from two kids ago.

Meanwhile, Ms. Bennigan (Katie O’Brien) and Ms. Adler (Kathryn Renée Thomas) are at home brainstorming some bachelorette party ideas. When a rather normal evening of wine and board games doesn’t excite anyone, Ms. Bennigan comes up with a plan to go to a themed hotel room, which Adler ends up booking. On the day of the party, the girls are seen driving to something that looks straight out of a horror film.

Ms. Snap’s fiancé, a handsome and dashing Marcus (guest actor Amir Mitchell-Townes), enlists Ms. Feldman's help to prepare an epic honeymoon scavenger hunt for Ms. Snap as a surprise. Ms. Feldman, whose last experience with a scavenger hunt was at a family reunion to find her grandfather’s missing prosthetic nose, is more than ready for this challenge. It quickly turns into a group effort as all teachers get involved in writing clever clues.

On the day of the wedding, everything seems to be going great. Ms. Feldman has managed to finish the scavenger hunt, Ms. Bennigan has gotten the heart-embroidered panties and the cake made out of cupcakes is going to be delivered soon. But things take a turn when the groom-to-be Marcus doesn't show up on time. As time passes, Ms. Snap begins to worry and stress eat, causing her to grow noticeably rounder and rounder. Amidst all this, Adler stresses over the direction of her life and doesn’t want to settle down.

As the minutes go by, it becomes clear that Marcus is not coming. He didn't leave a note or a message and his phone is turned off. All the wedding guests could do is have the ceremony anyway. The teachers come together to keep Ms. Snap’s spirits up and try to make the best of a sad situation. Finally, Ms. Bennigan gives a heartwarming single ladies’ speech that brings Ms. Snap around, and they all enjoy the night ending in an epic dance party.

Wedded Miss is a touching and hilarious episode about the ups and downs of love and commitment. With a cast of talented actors and witty writing, viewers are sure to be thoroughly entertained.
