George Lopez is back in a brand new television series. This 12- episode series is based on George Lopez's real life. He plays a man much like himself who has had several television sit-com shows. Lopez tries to balance being a celebrity, a comic, with his personal relationships in this new situation comedy. Lopez, a recent divorcee, returns to the neighborhood he grew up in. He considers buying some land. The comic also plans to buy championship rings for the local basketball team.

In one episode, George is still living in his upscale Hollywood suburban neighborhood. George's daughter has a slave auction to raise money to off-set the elite private school's tuition. The school principal and George's friend Snoop Dogg encourage George to enter himself into the slave auction. The slave will get to do anything the owner wants for 24 hours. Lopez hopes that he is in a position of not embarrassing his daughter, or being bought by Snoop Dogg for his maid. Lopez's daughter, Erica, will be auctioning him, but she worries that because her father is Hispanic he might not be bid on. The only thing that worries Lopez is if one of his enemies wins him.

Lopez is a series that is currently running and has 2 seasons (25 episodes). The series first aired on March 30, 2016.
