Thank God You're Here is an Australian improvisational comedy television series where famous comedians and performers are tasked with going into an unknown situation which they have absolutely no information about and come up with laughs on the fly.

Season 3, Episode 7 features guest comedian stars Peter Rowsthorn, Rebecca De Unamuno, Frank Woodley and Julia Morris. Host Shane Bourne instructs them to walk through a dusty door, setting the scene for each actor's journey.

As ever, tension builds among the actors as they speculate about what they may be getting themselves into. Julia Morris is up first and she finds herself in a room with two party clowns. She needs to get them to help her cook a birthday cake for her nephew. Peter Rowsthorn is next and arrives in a room filled with dirt and plants where he meets two guys who are obviously mad for gardening. They tell Peter he's the team leader of this round and he needs to figure out what they've got to do. Rebecca De Unamuno, the third improviser, is introduced to a room with three people who are playing with a Ouija board. They ask her questions and want her opinion to settle a heated debate. Will she answer them, or will they lead her astray? Finally, Frank Woodley enters his room filled with steam and mirrors, where he finds two acrobats using a trapeze and a huge lyra. Frank, of course, is terrified of heights... How will he cope?

Each contestant must make sure they react to the situation presented in the best way possible and come up with a joke in the process. The audience also plays a huge role in this performance, as they are the looming judges of each performance. If the chosen contestant makes them laugh, they will get the winning point.

The improvisations ran the gamut from dynamic to disappointing – Julia softened the clowns up in order to convince them to help her out and Peter found his green fingers ironically paid off when he found himself doing a medical examination on a tree. Things always go bananas when you’re dealing with a Ouija board and the questions De Unamuno was asked seemed just as unpredictable as the spirit board itself… But of all the contestants, comedian Frank Woodley found himself nearly tripping over reality when he found himself almost affixed in the steamy surroundings of his unknown location.

Shane Bourne is the host for the show and he’s also the guy who takes the contestants through their nerve-wracking journeys. Themes of each episode differ but the mood stays consistent as comedians take their best shots at improvisation – an art that is now becoming less and less common in the world of slapstick and sketch comedy.

Thank God You're Here Season 3 Episode 7 delivers all the laughs and entertainment we have come to love from this TV series. Unique and full of energy, it's a must-watch for anyone who loves to watch actors think on their feet and try to outdo each other in a comedic way. The blend of unusual and regular situations for these comedians creates entertaining and witty dialogue making the show a fan favorite.
