Ep 20. The Virus

Gumball and Darwin are two brothers who live in the town of Elmore where they have friends and classmates who are also anthropomorphic animals and objects. In season 2 episode 20, titled "The Virus," the town falls victim to a computer virus that infects all of the technology in Elmore.

The episode opens with Gumball and Darwin playing video games in their room when their computer suddenly shuts off. The boys can't figure out what's going on, but soon they realize that every device in their house has stopped working, including their phones, TV, and even their toaster.

Meanwhile, at Elmore Junior High, all of the technology has also malfunctioned. The smartboards won't turn on, the cafeteria machines won't accept students' lunch cards, and the security cameras have gone down. Chaos ensues as the students and faculty try to figure out what's going on.

As the day goes on, it becomes clear that the entire town has been affected by the virus. Cars are crashing, streetlights are malfunctioning, and even the power grid has been compromised. The townspeople are panicking and chaos is ensuing as everyone tries to deal with the fallout from the disastrous virus.

Gumball and Darwin, along with their friends, decide to take matters into their own hands and find the source of the virus. They trace it back to the school's computer lab, where they find a strange new student who seems to be behind the virus. They confront him, and after a hard-fought battle, they manage to defeat him and stop the virus from spreading any further.

In the end, the town is back to normal, but Gumball and Darwin can't shake the feeling that something isn't right. They realize that the new student they confronted wasn't actually responsible for the virus – he was just a scapegoat. As they ponder the true identity of the person behind the virus, the show ends on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers eager for the next episode to find out what happens next in the amazing world of Gumball.
