Ep 8. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Chise is a young girl who has been sold by her family to a mage named Elias for five million pounds. Elias is a powerful mage who resides in England and is considered a recluse by society. Elias decides to make Chise his apprentice and teaches her magic while also introducing her to the magical world.

In the eighth episode, titled "Let sleeping dogs lie," Chise and Elias are on their way to the land of dragons, where they are set to meet a dragon named Nevin. The journey is tiring, and Chise is feeling restless. She turns to Elias for guidance, and he tells her about a flower called the "sleeping laurel" that can make anyone fall into a deep sleep. Chise is intrigued and decides to search for the flower in the forest they are passing through.

While searching for the sleeping laurel, Chise comes across a pack of dogs and finds one of them injured. She tends to the dog's wounds and falls asleep by its side. Meanwhile, Elias continues on his journey to meet Nevin.

When Chise wakes up, she finds herself surrounded by the pack of dogs. She tries to leave, but the dogs start to follow her. She soon realizes that the dogs are not ordinary dogs but are spirits and that they need her help.

Meanwhile, Elias reaches the land of dragons and meets Nevin. Nevin informs Elias about a disease that is spreading among the dragons, causing them to lose their magic and eventually die. Elias decides to take Chise with him to help find a cure for the disease.

Chise tries to communicate with the spirit dogs but finds it challenging as they don't speak a human language. She uses her magic to communicate with them and finds out that they have lost their way and need her help to find their master.

As Chise and the spirit dogs continue their search, they come across a village where the residents are afraid of the dogs and try to harm them. Chise intervenes and uses her magic to protect the dogs.

Meanwhile, Elias and Nevin continue their search for the cure and come across a land of fairies. The fairies inform them of a flower called the "angelica," which has the power to cure the dragon disease.

Chise and the spirit dogs finally locate the master and reunite him with his pack. The master thanks Chise and reveals that he is a spirit himself and that he used to be a human. He had turned into a spirit to protect the forest and its inhabitants.

Chise and Elias return to the land of dragons with the angelica flower, and Elias uses it to cure the sick dragons. However, the cure comes with a price as it requires the life force of a mage. Elias sacrifices some of his life force to cure the dragons, causing Chise to worry about his well-being.

The episode ends with Elias and Chise returning to England, and Chise feeling grateful for the experience she had with the spirit dogs and the opportunity to help the dragons.
