Ep 9. The Citation Negation

Sheldon and Amy's super-asymmetry theory is finally proven and they are both elated to have their thesis published in a prestigious science journal. However, Sheldon is dismayed when he discovers that his childhood hero, Dr. Stephen Hawking, has cast doubt on their research in a previous paper. Determined to set the record straight, Sheldon sets out to find a way to convince Hawking of their theory's validity.

Meanwhile, Howard and Bernadette are dealing with their own problems when they receive a citation for their overgrown lawn. Howard tries to fight the citation, but when he realizes he's in the wrong, he offers to make things right. However, his good intentions backfire when he accidentally causes even more damage to their yard.

Back at the university, Raj is struggling with the fact that he's the only one in the group without a significant other. Seeking solace, he turns to Anu, a woman he met online and has been chatting with. Despite their long-distance relationship, Raj feels a strong connection to Anu and decides to take the next step by asking her to meet him in person.

As the episode progresses, tensions rise between Sheldon and Hawking as Sheldon becomes increasingly desperate to prove his theory's validity. Will he be able to convince his childhood hero of the merits of his work, or will he be forced to admit defeat? Meanwhile, Howard and Bernadette must find a way to repair their damaged lawn without breaking the bank, while Raj's long-distance relationship with Anu takes a surprising turn.
