Ep 16. Trajectory

In the sixteenth episode of the second season of The Flash (2014), entitled "Trajectory," the audience is introduced to a new speedster in town. Speedy and dangerous, this new character, calling herself "Trajectory," possesses lightning-fast powers that rival those of Barry (Grant Gustin) himself.

As the episode begins, Barry and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs are enjoying a night out at a club when The Flash is called upon to stop a robbery. The thief, however, turns out to be Trajectory, and she gives Barry a run for his money - literally. Trajectory outraces The Flash, much to his surprise. Trajectory, however, is not a hero, but rather a villain who is using her powers to steal valuable items, putting innocent people in danger.

Meanwhile, Barry worries about the mounting pressure his responsibilities as The Flash puts on his personal life and his relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). He seeks advice from his father, Henry Allen (John Wesley Shipp), who encourages him to slow down and make time for the people he loves.

As The Flash attempts to stop Trajectory, she reveals herself to be a former employee of S.T.A.R. Labs, and has been injected with a dangerous new drug called "Velocity 9" that enhances speed but also has harmful side effects. Trajectory tells Barry that she needs to continue using the drug in order to maintain her speed and remain alive.

As Barry and the team work to find a way to stop Trajectory and save her from the dangerous effects of the drug, they also begin to investigate the source of Velocity 9. Their investigation leads them to an old colleague of Caitlin's (Danielle Panabaker) who has been working on developing the drug for unknown reasons.

Throughout the episode, Trajectory's true identity and motivations are slowly revealed, culminating in a thrilling showdown between The Flash and Trajectory that puts both speedsters in danger. The episode ultimately ends with a twist that leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the next episode.

"Trajectory" is a standout episode of The Flash that delivers on both action and emotional depth. It explores the effects of superpowers on the individual and those around them, as well as the importance of taking care of oneself and one's relationships. The introduction of a new villain adds excitement to the storyline, while also shedding light on some of the darker aspects of the superhero world. With top-notch performances from the cast and impressive special effects, "Trajectory" is a must-watch for fans of The Flash.
