Bowden had a history of sex crimes and had been arrested multiple times for offenses ranging from exposing himself to children to rape. However, he had never been connected to Amie's case until CeCe's investigation.

The team goes to work trying to gather more evidence to link Bowden to Amie's death. They discover that he had been working for a construction company at the location where Amie's body was found around the time of her disappearance. They also find a shoeprint at the crime scene that matches a pair of shoes owned by Bowden.

With this new evidence, the police are able to arrest Bowden and charge him with Amie's murder. In a surprising twist, it is revealed that Bowden had already died in prison on unrelated charges in 2006.

Despite the lack of justice for Amie's family, CeCe and her team are able to bring closure to the case and provide answers about what happened to Amie. The episode ends with a touching moment between CeCe and Amie's sister, who thanks her for bringing her family peace after years of uncertainty.
