Ep 2. A Friend

Christine Reade is a second year law student at Chicago-Burnham Law School and a new intern at the prestigious law firm Kirkland & Allen. In episode 2 of The Girlfriend Experience, titled "A Friend," Christine meets Avery, a girl from her class, who also happens to work at a strip club. Avery invites Christine to her work and introduces her to her boss, Jacqueline. Avery's boss offers to give Christine a chance to work there as a hostess at the club.

The next day, Christine meets with Jacqueline again, who tells her that there's a lucrative market for high-end escorts. Jacqueline offers to train Christine and take a percentage of her earnings. Christine contemplates the offer but ultimately declines, feeling uneasy about the idea.

In the final scene, Christine reunites with Avery at a coffee shop and they chat about their experiences at the strip club. Avery tells Christine that she feels like they have a special connection and asks for her phone number. Christine hesitates but ultimately gives in and gives her number to Avery.
