When twelve-year-old Devin Burke moves from a bustling city to a suburban neighborhood, she finds it hard to adjust to her new school. Devin used to be the star player of her soccer team in the city, but in her new school, she's just a benchwarmer. But Devin is determined to make a mark for herself and get back into the game, so she joins the soccer team at her new school, The Kicks.

In the second episode of The Kicks, titled There's No I in Team, Devin is slowly but surely getting used to her new teammates. The team seems to be lacking in cohesion, and their coach isn't doing much to help. All the players are playing for themselves, and no one is playing for each other. Devin knows that if they want to win, they need to work together as a team.

Devin tries to be a leader for her team, but it's not easy when most of the girls on the team want to be the star. She tries to encourage her teammates to pass the ball around instead of trying to individually take on the other team. But it's not until a team-building exercise that the girls start to realize the importance of teamwork.

During the exercise, the girls have to complete a relay race blindfolded, with each player relying on the directions given by the person before them. At first, the girls struggle with communication and working together, but after a few tries, they start to get the hang of it. They realize that they can't win the race unless they all work together and communicate effectively.

The teamwork exercise is a turning point for The Kicks. The girls start to play better together on the field. Devin and her teammate Zoe start to create a good partnership, passing the ball back and forth and creating scoring opportunities. The team starts to link up in attack and defense, with each player knowing their role and what they need to do to help the team.

Despite the improvements, the team still has a long way to go before they can be considered a real contender. Their coach, Tom, is still not giving them much guidance, and some of the girls are still more concerned about their individual stats than the team's performance. But Devin is not giving up, and she knows that with hard work and dedication, The Kicks can become a great team.

In this episode, we see Devin's leadership skills come to the fore. She's not afraid to speak up and challenge her teammates when they're not playing as a team. Devin's also a talented player, but she knows that it's not just about her individual performance. She wants to help her team win by playing for the team and not just for herself.

Overall, the second episode of The Kicks is a great showcase of the importance of teamwork in sports and in life. The girls on the team learn that they can achieve more when they work together and communicate effectively. With Devin's leadership skills and the team's newfound understanding of teamwork, The Kicks are on their way to becoming a winning team.
