In the episode "Trash Talker" from season 6 of The King of Queens, we find Doug and Carrie embarrassing themselves by having a heated argument in front of their friends. Doug had made a joke about a woman he had seen throwing out trash, calling her a "trash-talking psycho," but when everyone found out that the woman in question was actually Carrie's co-worker, Doug's joke didn't seem so funny anymore.

He spends all of his time researching and building tiny chairs and tables, completely ignoring the fact that he's supposed to be watching over the house and taking care of the dog. When Doug and Carrie realize that Arthur has been neglecting his responsibilities, they decide to confront him.
The episode "Trash Talker" is a classic example of the sitcom formula, with lots of rapid-fire one-liners, physical comedy, and exaggerated situations. The main conflict between Doug and Carrie is relatable to anyone who's ever had a fight with their partner over a misinterpreted comment or joke. The side plot with Arthur is also funny, with Jerry Stiller delivering his lines with his trademark manic energy. Overall, "Trash Talker" is a solid episode of The King of Queens that showcases the show's strengths - funny and relatable characters, sharp writing, and plenty of laughs.
