Luckily, Frank and Buster are on the lookout for Mitzi. They notice that she's been gone longer than expected and begin to search for her. They eventually find her lying on the ground, unable to move her injured ankle. Frank and Buster console Mitzi and carry her back home.

Once they're home, Mitzi's mother tends to her injury and thanks Frank and Buster for bringing her home safely. Mitzi is disappointed that her adventure had to end so abruptly, but she's grateful for the experience nonetheless. She learns an important lesson about being independent but also acknowledging when she needs help.

The episode ends with Mitzi and her new dingo friend sitting on her front porch, watching the sunset. They both agree that it's been a great day, even with the injury and unexpected turn of events.
