Ep 101. The Job

The Office season 3 episode 101, titled "The Job," follows the Dunder Mifflin employees as they try to land a major client that could secure their jobs and even lead to promotions. Jim and Karen head to New York City for their interviews while Michael accompanies Ryan to his interview in New York as well. Back at the Scranton branch, Dwight takes charge in Michael's absence and tries to prove that he's capable of leading the team. However, his attempts to impress the potential client come off as overbearing and off-putting to the rest of the staff. Eventually, Dwight realizes that he's been too focused on impressing the client and has lost sight of what's really important: the well-being and happiness of his co-workers.

As the episode comes to a close, everyone's fate is left hanging in the balance. Will Jim and Karen get the job in New York? Will Michael and Ryan make it back to Scranton in one piece? And most importantly, will the Scranton branch secure the new client and save everyone's jobs?
