The Putin Interviews is a miniseries conducted by the American filmmaker Oliver Stone in which he interviews the current President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. In the first episode titled Part 1, Oliver Stone travels to Russia to meet Vladimir Putin, where they sit down for a candid conversation about various issues affecting the world today.

The episode begins with Stone's arrival in Moscow, where he is greeted by his team of Russian translators and his driver, who takes him to the Kremlin to meet Putin. Once Stone reaches Putin's office, they share a warm handshake, and Stone begins his first question, "What kind of a president are you?"

Over the next hour, Stone and Putin discuss various topics ranging from Putin's rise to power, his views on the US-Russian relations, Syria, NATO, the alleged Russian involvement in the 2016 US elections, and much more.

Stone starts with the basics, where Putin talks about his background and how he became the President of Russia. Putin describes how he was approached by Boris Yeltsin to run for the presidency, and how he initially tried to refuse but eventually accepted the offer. Putin then talks about his relationship with former US President Bill Clinton and how he enjoyed working with him. Putin then goes on to talk about how his relationship with the US has deteriorated under the Obama administration, and how he hopes to have a better relationship with the new US President Donald Trump.

Stone then asks Putin about the situation in Syria and his continued support for the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, despite the allegations of human rights abuses and the use of chemical weapons. Putin defends his stance on Syria, stating that Russia is only supporting the legitimate government of Syria and that any solution to the conflict must involve the Syrian people themselves.

Stone then asks about NATO and its continued expansion, to which Putin responds by saying that Russia sees the expansion of NATO as a threat to its national security. Putin mentions that NATO is a military alliance created during the Cold War to counter the Soviet Union, and argues that it should have been disbanded after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Stone then asks Putin about the allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 US Presidential elections. Putin responds by saying that Russia did not interfere in the US elections and that there is no evidence to support the allegations. Putin suggests that the allegations are part of a wider campaign to discredit Russia and to distract from the serious domestic issues in the US, such as unemployment and a declining standard of living.

The episode ends with Stone and Putin discussing the state of the world today and how they see its future. Putin expresses his concern about the increasing number of conflicts and tensions around the world, and calls for a new world order that is based on mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation between nations.

Overall, Part 1 of The Putin Interviews provides a fascinating insight into the mind of one of the most powerful leaders in the world today. The conversation between Stone and Putin is engaging and informative, and it provides a better understanding of the motives and actions of the Russian government. The episode sets the tone for the rest of the series and leaves the viewers with a desire to watch more of this remarkable interview.
