The Return of Sherlock Holmes marks Granada television's return of Holmes fan favorite Jeremy Brett and for the first time Edward Hardwicke as the immortal detective and his faithful assistant Dr. Watson. Spanning two seasons and eleven lavishly filmed episodes closely adapting Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories. The game is afoot as the two sleuths detect their way through foggy and mysterious Victorian London and the open but dangerous English countryside. Political intrigues, buried family scandals and the seemingly but always explainable supernatural confound all but the indomitable Holmes. A must for fans and those new to the stories.
