When the arrival of Desi, a new student coincides with the horses getting spooked every night, the Saddle Club and several other riders suspect that Desi might have something to do with it. However, when Stevie, Carole, and Lisa start to investigate the new girl, they soon discover the culprit who is scaring the horses isn't a person, but a winged creature. Meanwhile, Max talks Mrs. Reg into becoming the new riding instructor at Pine Hollow.
