Ep 19. Miss Mystic Falls

As Elena prepares for the annual Miss Mystic Falls pageant, she and Damon are contacted by Amber Bradley, a young woman who has been missing for over a week. They discover that Amber has been turned into a vampire by Anna and her mother Pearl, who have been using her to infiltrate the town's social scene for unknown reasons. After Damon and Stefan capture Anna and Pearl, they force Anna to reveal her plan: to use the newly turned vampires created by Damon's blood to overthrow the town and take over as the ruling vampire clan. Meanwhile, Elena and Stefan struggle with their growing feelings for each other, and Bonnie begins to explore her newfound powers as a witch. The episode ends with a shocking revelation about one of the main characters.
