Ep 13. The Day I Tried To Live

In The Vampire Diaries season 6 episode 13 titled "The Day I Tried To Live," the aftermath of Kai's massacre of the Gemini coven continues to wreak havoc in Mystic Falls. As Jeremy, Matt and Tyler consult with Liv to see if they can help Alaric deal with his new vampire state, Stefan seeks out Caroline to offer his support. Meanwhile, Enzo tries to convince Bonnie to let him contact Damon after their run-in with the Gemini's while Elena begins to contemplate her future with Damon.

As the threat of Kai looms over them, the Salvatore brothers are faced with a difficult choice. After Damon's confrontation with Kai, the two are forced to work together to figure out a way to stop him before it's too late. With Bonnie's help, they begin to uncover a new lead on Kai's whereabouts leading them to an unexpected ally. At the same time, Alaric struggles to come to terms with his new vampire status and what it means for his future as a father.

While the hunt for Kai takes center stage, Caroline and Stefan focus on their own relationship drama. After Caroline finally admits her feelings to Stefan, he is forced to confront his own conflicting emotions about the situation. Meanwhile, Enzo continues his pursuit of Bonnie despite her reluctance to get involved with him again.

As the search for Kai intensifies, it becomes clear that the group will need to put aside their personal differences in order to take him down. With Damon's life still hanging in the balance, they must act quickly if they hope to save him and ensure that Mystic Falls is safe once again.
