The Voice Season 15 Episode 9 The Battles, Part 3

  • October 22, 2018

The Voice season 15 episode 9, titled "The Battles, Part 3," follows the third installment of the show's signature battle round. The episode opens with coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton pitting their remaining team members against each other in dueling performances. The coaches have previously selected the best of their respective teams, meaning that each performer on stage is already a standout.

The first performance of the night is an energetic and harmonious cover of the song "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone. Two standout performers, whose contrasting styles could not be more different, bring the audience to their feet with their equally impressive stage presence and vocal ability.

Next, the show jumps to a different performance, one that features a female country artist performing a classic rock song in a surprising manner. Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson are both particularly impressed with the performer's originality and ability to make the song her own.

Throughout the episode, there are several standout performances where each contestant showcases their unique voice and style. The coaches offer feedback after each performance, and at times may struggle with their decision on who to send home and who to keep for the next round.

As the battles heat up, the rest of the coaches provide plenty of drama and commentary on each other's choices. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have a particularly heated exchange over their differing strategies for the round.

The episode concludes with the coaches assembling their final teams for the upcoming knockout round, where the artists will once again perform solo in their quest to move up the ranks and ultimately be crowned the winner of season 15 of The Voice.
