Ep 5. Go Getters

When their community is threatened by the Saviors, Rick and his group of survivors must band together to protect their homes and loved ones. In season 7 episode 5, entitled "Go Getters," we follow the story of Maggie and Sasha as they seek refuge with the Hilltop community.

After the brutal murders of Glenn and Abraham at the hands of Negan and his Saviors, Rick and the crew are left reeling. However, none are more affected than Maggie, who is pregnant with Glenn's child. In "Go Getters," we see her struggling to come to terms with her grief while also trying to find a way to move forward.

With the Hilltop community offering a possible sanctuary, Maggie and Sasha set out to make the long journey there. Once they arrive, they're greeted warmly by Gregory, the Hilltop's leader. However, it quickly becomes clear that he’s more interested in his own interests than he is in helping others.

As Maggie and Sasha try to make themselves useful within the Hilltop, they also begin to form unexpected connections. Sasha becomes romantically involved with Jesus, one of the Hilltop's fighters, while Maggie strikes up a friendship with a young girl named Enid.

Meanwhile, back at Alexandria, Carl becomes determined to take action against the Saviors. His impulsiveness leads to a heated confrontation with Enid, who tries to make him see reason before it's too late.

As tensions mount both within and outside the Hilltop walls, Maggie and Sasha must fight to protect themselves and their new friends. But with Negan and his Saviors still looming, their efforts may not be enough.

"Go Getters" is a heart-wrenching episode that shows just how much the survivors have lost in the aftermath of Negan's attack. It's also a testament to their resilience and determination to keep fighting for their freedom and safety. With strong performances from Lauren Cohan (Maggie) and Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), this episode is a must-watch for fans of The Walking Dead.
