Ep 3. Burgundy

The White Princess is a historical drama television series based on Philippa Gregory's novel of the same name. The show tells the story of Elizabeth of York, the wife of King Henry VII, and her struggles to navigate the treacherous political landscape of Tudor England.

In season 1 episode 3, titled "Burgundy," tensions between England and France continue to rise as King Henry VII (Jacob Collins-Levy) struggles to secure his throne and maintain his grip on power. Meanwhile, King Henry receives word that his rival, the pretender Lambert Simnel, has landed in Ireland with a small army and is gathering support from the local nobility. Worried that Simnel could pose a serious threat to his reign, Henry dispatches his army to Ireland to crush the rebellion.

Back in England, Elizabeth is visited by Jasper Tudor (Vincent Regan), Henry's uncle and a key player in his rise to power. Jasper tells Elizabeth that he has uncovered evidence linking her brother Richard to Simnel's rebellion and warns her that if Richard is found to be involved, it could lead to his execution.

Elizabeth is torn between her loyalty to her family and her love for her husband, and she must make a difficult decision that will have far-reaching consequences for her family and the future of England.

As the episode draws to a close, tensions between England and France continue to mount, and Elizabeth finds herself at the center of a dangerous political game. With her husband's reign under threat and her family's future hanging in the balance, Elizabeth must use all her wit and cunning to navigate the treacherous waters of Tudor politics and protect those she loves.
