The show Timewasters is a British comedy series that follows a group of four young jazz musicians from London who accidentally travel back in time to the 1920s. In season 2 episode 5, the group find themselves in a precarious situation when they accidentally end up in Nazi Germany in 1933.
The episode begins with the group arriving in a dark alleyway in a German city. They quickly realize that they are not in the 1920s anymore but have somehow been transported to Nazi Germany. The group, consisting of Nick, Jason, Lauren, and Horace, are immediately on edge as they try to figure out how to get back to their own time.
As they try to navigate their way through the unfamiliar streets, they realize that they need some local currency to blend in and get by. They stumble upon a group of young German men who offer to exchange some of their British pounds for Deutsche marks. The exchange goes smoothly, but the group soon realizes that they have been ripped off and have received counterfeit money.
Feeling paranoid and exposed, the group decides to split up and try to blend in with the locals. Jason and Horace head to a nearby pub to see if they can find any information on how they can get back to their own time. Meanwhile, Nick and Lauren head to a nearby park to try and find a quiet place to regroup and come up with a plan.
As Jason and Horace sit at the pub, they overhear a conversation between two local German men about a secret underground network that helps people escape from Nazi Germany. Jason and Horace quickly realize that this could be their chance to get back to their own time, and they decide to investigate further.
Nick and Lauren, on the other hand, have a chance encounter with a young German girl who takes pity on them and offers them a place to stay for the night. The group takes her up on her offer and soon find themselves in a small apartment in the heart of Nazi Germany. While there, they come across a newspaper that details the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party.
The group is horrified by what they read and realize the severity of the situation they are in. They begin to feel a sense of urgency to find a way back to their own time before it's too late.
As the episode progresses, the group's plan to escape becomes more and more complicated. They realize that they must be careful not to draw any attention to themselves, as the consequences could be deadly. The episode ends with the group narrowly escaping from the clutches of the Nazi party, but it remains unclear whether they will be able to successfully travel back to their own time.
