ITV2 is a British digital television network. It's owned by the nationally broadcast ITV or Independent Television. As a commercial channel, it's funded mainly by commercials broadcast during and between shows.
ITV2 is a popular entertainment channel. Much of its schedule consists of American imports such as 'Scorpion', 'Psych', 'Gossip Girl' and 'The Vampire Diaries'. Also featuring are repeats of popular ITV1 shows including cookery competition 'Hell's Kitchen' and physical game-show 'The Cube'. They also show omnibus editions of ITV1's soap operas, 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale'.
ITV2 also produces original programming. Some of this consists of companion pieces to ITV1's biggest shows; for example, ITV1's talent show 'Britain's Got Talent' has a matching 'Britain's Got More Talent' on ITV2 featuring interviews with the performers, unseen acts and behind the scenes footage. Similarly, ITV1's 'The X Factor' and 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' have 'The Xtra Factor' and 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW!' on ITV2.
Also original to ITV2 are a few general entertainment and comedy shows. 'Tom Daley Goes Global' features the Olympic diver traveling the world looking for life changing experiences. 'The Hot Desk' features interviews with musicians and other celebrities, and 'Celebrity Juice' is a comedy panel show with the guests answering questions on celebrity gossip. Sitcoms 'The Job Lot' and 'Plebs' are also ITV2 originals.
