They start playing at various jazz clubs around the city, winning over audiences with their modern, improvisational style. They also form a close bond with a group of fellow time travellers who have been stuck in the past for years.

As the series progresses, we see the band getting more and more comfortable in their new reality. They begin to embrace the freedom and excitement of the 1920s, and even start to question whether they want to return to their own time. However, they soon realise that they might not have a choice when they discover that the antique elevator that brought them here is rapidly falling apart.

Timewasters is a hilarious and inventive take on the time travel genre. The show manages to weave together complex themes like racism, identity, and cultural dislocation into a light-hearted and entertaining narrative.
