Ep 3. Dove

In Tokyo Ghoul season 1 episode 3 titled "Dove," we continue to follow the story of Ken Kaneki, a college student who has become a half-ghoul after a near-fatal encounter with a ghoul named Rize.

In this episode, we are introduced to the CCG (Commission of Counter Ghoul), an organization dedicated to eliminating ghouls through investigations and operations. We see two members of the CCG, Amon and Mado, as they investigate a recent ghoul attack on a café. Amon is the more stoic of the two, while Mado is eccentric and seems to enjoy hunting ghouls a little too much.

Back at the Anteiku café, where Kaneki works part-time, he has agreed to accompany Touka, a fellow ghoul, to a ghoul restaurant. Touka is teaching Kaneki about ghoul society and survival, but things do not go as planned when the restaurant turns out to be a trap set up by the CCG. Kaneki is taken hostage by Mado, who begins to brutally question him about his involvement with Touka and the other ghouls. Kaneki must use his newfound powers to escape and make it back to Anteiku.

Meanwhile, at the CCG headquarters, Amon is assigned a new partner, a mysterious woman named Takizawa. She seems to be hiding something and Amon is unsure if he can trust her.

Throughout the episode, we are introduced to more of the world of Tokyo Ghoul, including the different types of ghouls, their abilities, and the lengths the CCG will go to eliminate them. There is a sense of tension and danger in every scene, as Kaneki and the other ghouls fight to survive in a world that hates and fears them.

"Dove" is a fast-paced and action-packed episode, with a focus on the characters and their relationships. We see the beginnings of a friendship between Kaneki and Touka, as well as the complicated dynamics within the CCG. The episode does an excellent job of balancing the emotional moments with the intense action sequences, leaving the viewer on the edge of their seat. Overall, "Dove" is a thrilling episode that sets the stage for the rest of the season.
