We Got This is a Swedish thriller television show that aired on AMC+ in 2020. Schiaffino Musarra stars in the show, a well-known Italian actor, alongside Alexander Karim, a Swedish actor. The show follows the story of George English, played by Schiaffino Musarra, an American living in Stockholm who’s struggling to find his place in the world. George is an expert in crime-solving podcasts and becomes obsessed with a real-life case of a missing child in Stockholm. Despite knowing very little about Sweden and not speaking the language, George vows to solve the case and find out the truth about the missing child.

Alexander Karim plays Alex Beijer, a detective in the Stockholm police force who is investigating the case of the missing child. Beijer is an experienced detective, but he struggles to keep up with the fast pace of the case and the hundreds of leads that keep popping up. As George and Alex cross paths in their pursuit of the truth, they form an unlikely partnership to solve the case.

We Got This consists of six episodes, each running at around 45 minutes. The show perfectly captures the beauty of Stockholm, with its stunning architecture and jaw-dropping landscapes featuring throughout each episode. The plot is complex and intricate, with twists and turns that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. While the plot itself is fictional, the show is based on a real-life event that happened in Sweden, adding an extra layer of intrigue and depth to the plot.

One of the most interesting aspects of We Got This is the way in which the two main characters, George and Alex, are presented. George is an outsider who knows very little about Sweden and its people. He’s a bit of an enigma, but the audience can’t help but root for him as he tries to navigate his way through a foreign culture while also trying to solve the case. Alex, on the other hand, is a native of Stockholm, but he’s not quite like any other Swede. He’s a bit of an outsider in his own right, but for different reasons than George. As the two characters work together, they learn from each other and grow in unexpected ways.

The acting in the show is superb, particularly from Schiaffino Musarra and Alexander Karim. Musarra brings a level of vulnerability and sincerity to his portrayal of George, which makes the character incredibly endearing. Karim, on the other hand, brings a quiet intensity to his role as Alex, adding to the sense of mystery that surrounds him. The chemistry between the two actors is undeniable and is one of the main reasons the show works so well.

While We Got This is a crime thriller, it’s not your typical murder mystery. The show explores themes such as identity, cultural differences, and the struggle to fit in. It also touches on the impact social media can have on high-profile cases and the role it plays in shaping public opinion. The show is thought-provoking and raises important questions about the nature of crime-solving and the role outsiders can play in solving complex cases.

Overall, We Got This is a fantastic show that’s well worth a watch. It’s well-written, well-acted, and has a unique plot that will keep you hooked from the first episode to the last. The show provides a fresh perspective on the crime thriller genre and is an excellent example of Swedish television at its best.
