Ep 3. Enemy of the State

In Wentworth season 8 episode 3, titled "Enemy of the State," tensions rise as the prison becomes more divided. With three different factions vying for power, alliances are constantly shifting and paranoia is rampant among the inmates.

The episode begins with the arrival of a new inmate, Reb Keane, who is quickly established as a formidable force to be reckoned with. Reb is a member of the Red Right Hand, a violent group that has been terrorizing the streets of Melbourne. Having been arrested after a botched assassination attempt, Reb sees herself as a martyr for her cause and is unapologetically combative with both the staff and the other inmates.

Meanwhile, Liz is still reeling from the revelation that her son, Josh, has been killed. She is desperate for answers and believes that Boomer may have information about what happened. Boomer, however, is struggling with her own demons. She has been wracked with guilt since accidentally killing Detective Randall in a fit of rage, and is trying to come to terms with the fact that she may be facing a life sentence for murder.

As the tensions between Reb and the other inmates escalate, Vera is forced to take action to try and contain the situation. She threatens Reb with solitary confinement, but Reb is undeterred. In fact, she seems to relish the idea of being singled out as an enemy of the state.

Meanwhile, Will is still trying to piece together what happened to Marie. He knows that there is some kind of conspiracy involving Marie, Brody, and the attorney general, but he isn't sure exactly what it is. He tries to get information from Brody, but Brody is tight-lipped and dismissive.

As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that the power struggle within the prison is not limited to the inmates. Kaz is still determined to take over as top dog, and is using any means necessary to achieve her goal. She has enlisted the help of a new inmate, Allie, who seems to have a mysterious past of her own. Together, Kaz and Allie begin to stir up trouble among the other inmates, creating chaos and confusion in an attempt to gain an advantage.

As the episode comes to a close, tensions are at an all-time high. The different factions seem more divided than ever, and it's clear that something big is about to happen. The question is, who will come out on top? And at what cost? With each character facing their own struggles and demons, it's clear that no one is safe in Wentworth.
