In the sixth episode of the third season of Westworld, titled "Decoherence," the many story threads of this cerebral science fiction series begin to converge once again. But the more things change, the more they stay the same, and the characters in Westworld are struggling to find their footing in a world that is constantly in flux.

As ever, the show deftly juggles its various storylines, moving back and forth between different characters and locations with ease. Chief among the storylines is that of Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), who is still on her mission to free the hosts from their oppressors. But as she struggles to find a foothold in the real world, she begins to realize that her ultimate goal may be more difficult to achieve than she ever anticipated.

Meanwhile, Maeve (Thandie Newton) is still stuck in a simulated reality, struggling to find a way out. And William (Ed Harris), who is still recovering from the trauma he suffered in the previous season, is struggling to define who he is in this new world.

Adding to the confusion is the introduction of a new character, played by Pom Klementieff of Guardians of the Galaxy fame. She plays a mysterious figure who seems to be in control of a powerful organization that is up to no good.

In many ways, "Decoherence" is a classic episode of Westworld, with its mix of philosophy, action, and intrigue. But it also pushes the story forward in meaningful ways, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the season. Ultimately, it is a reminder that wherever our characters may go, whether they are robots or humans, they are still struggling to find meaning in a world that often seems chaotic.
