Ep 4. Awakenings & Revelations

Elizabeth's classroom has a new student, a boy named Phillip who is profoundly deaf. She arranges for him to be tutored by Abigail, who has learned sign language. Meanwhile, Jack is back from the Northern Territories and has a new Mountie colleague, Constable Doug Burke. The two of them work with the townsfolk to investigate a spate of robberies and also catch up with old friends. As always in Hope Valley, there is plenty of romance brewing, with Abigail considering whether or not to accept a proposal from Pastor Frank and Jack and Elizabeth exchanging furtive glances at every opportunity. Each character faces a moment of awakening or revelation in this engaging episode.
